Release Notes v3.13

Article summary

Release Date: November 19th, 2021

WHAT'S NEW?

Included in this release are curated collections of data and content, called content packs, which are now available for direct addition to user libraries. In addition, forms of loss results are now available within a scenario report.

DATA HELPERS

The following items relate to updates to data helpers.

Catalog Provider Information

For data helpers that have been added to a library and edited, the modified indicator (showing the item has been edited) has been adjusted to better align with the provider's name.

RISK ASSESSMENTS

The following items relate to updates to risk assessments.

Loss Exposure Charts

The Annualized Aggregate Loss Exposure chart that displays in both timeline and comparison assessments now emphasizes the Average metric. Previously it emphasized Most Likely.

Comparison Assessments

When creating a new copy of a scenario, the copy will now display imported data helper details. Previously, the workshop questions of copied scenarios would show data from the copied data helpers but did not retain or display the data helper name from the source scenario.

SCENARIOS

The following items relate to updates to reporting.

Report

Forms of Loss Results

The scenario Executive Summary Report now contains Loss Exposure by Forms of Loss results. This new section includes both primary and secondary forms of loss results which are displayed in a bar chart and tabular format. These reports are similar to the risk analysis aggregate forms of loss reports and are also included in the Microsoft Word document report export. The Word document export only exports the most likely summary metric results on the Forms of Loss bar chart.

This report is available on all versions of all scenarios in the library.

This report displays statements about the summary results and explain information about the forms of loss results. The statements are written in business language, so they refer to primary loss as "direct loss" and secondary loss as "indirect loss." Key explanatory information contained in these statements includes the following:

Results are per-event so assume an event happens

Secondary losses display the percentage likelihood the event will occur. The statements are written in business language so refer to primary as direct and secondary as indirect loss.

The main Loss Exposure by Forms of Loss statement displays the per-event combined forms of loss total and the following forecast information about that total:

        The per-event direct (primary) loss

The indirect (secondary) loss event frequency percentage

The per-event indirect (secondary) loss values for the selected Report by summary metric

The Primary Forms of Loss statement displays the forecast per-event direct (primary) loss magnitude for the selected Report by summary metric.

The Secondary Forms of Loss section statement displays the percent chance that the indirect (secondary) losses will occur and what those losses will be for the selected Report by summary metric.

o    No Secondary Losses: When secondary loss event frequency or secondary loss magnitude are $0, there are no results to display. The bar chart and table are hidden, and this section instead displays No indirect loss events forecast.

Annualized Loss Exposure Chart

The Annualized Loss Exposure chart now emphasizes the Average metric instead of Most Likely as it did previously.

It also emphasizes the selected Report by summary metric. The metric that is selected is emphasized on the chart

Summary of Simulation Results

For each scenario, the Summary of Simulation Results will now be collapsed by default. The results can be expanded using the expand button. The last view of this section (expanded or collapsed) will be retained until it is changed again, even after logging out of the application.

CONTENT PACKS

Content packs are now available for direct addition to user libraries. The following content packs are ready for use:

Starter Content Pack: Supported by the Starter catalog of data helpers that are accessible to all customers, these scenarios and assets complete a small content pack intended to assist users in their quantification process.

Technology Content Pack: This pack contains curated scenarios and data to assess the most common and highest risk scenarios in the technology industry.

Healthcare Payer Content Pack: This pack contains scenarios and data to assess the most common and highest risk scenarios impacting the healthcare payer industry.

Adding a content pack can improve time to value, simplify the analysis process, and reduce impact on resources that would be asked to gather data. Scenarios are provided fully scoped and ready to run out of the box but can be easily customized to fit an organization's size and specific concerns within the platform. ln-app help is also available to help with this task. All content and data are the results of decades of cumulative experience in the risk quantification space.

For access to content packs, contact your Customer Success manager.

APIs

The POST /subscriptions endpoint has been enhanced to provide more accurate messaging when submitted requests cannot be processed. Responses for No Current version, Subscription ID not found and Invalid Subscription ID will now be provided.

For the GET /riskassessments and GET /riskassessments/{riskassessment_id} endpoints, the Last Updated date has been updated to return null when the risk assessment has not been updated.

GET /scenarios and GET /scenarios/{id} now return the new forms of loss results added to the application in this release.

GENERAL IMPROVEMENTS

Improve the performance of running comparison analyses.

SECURITY

There are no security fixes in this release.

BUG FIXES

Corrected an issue where a tooltip was displaying incorrectly for the Group Selection menu.

Updated the snack bar error verbiage to be clearer when attempting to add more than the allowed characters for a data helper description or data helper answer instructions.

Updated the side sheet within Catalogs to handle longer Data Helper names.

Added missing percentage symbols to risk assessment annualized loss exposure chart.

KNOWN ISSUES AND EXCLUSIONS

The minimum supported browser resolution is 1440 px width. Some application content and functionality are not visible or functional at smaller resolutions.

Some asset and scenario workshop keyboard control options do not function as expected in IE and Edge browsers.

There is a known issue when session timeout is set to 15 minutes because of a limitation with Microsoft.NET Framework. This framework dictates that the session cookie cannot be updated during the first half of the user's session. When a user is inactive, the platform's warning popup displays when there are 10 minutes left in the session. Since a user cannot update the cookie within the first half of the session (before the halfway mark at 7:30 of 15:00), if the user clicks Stay Logged In in those first 2.5 minutes, their session will not reset to 15 minutes and will time out at the end of the original 15 minutes.
