Managing Comparison Analyses

Article summary

Introduction

Comparison risk assessments can contain multiple risk analyses in their scope, while each scoped risk analysis can contain multiple comparison scenarios. There are two types of analyses in a comparison assessment:

  • Baseline: The baseline analysis is created by default when the comparison risk assessment is created. The baseline analysis scope (the baseline’s collection of scenarios) is copied from the parent timeline assessment. Baselines have the following attributes:
    • The baseline analysis cannot be deleted.
    • The name of the baseline analysis cannot be changed.
  • Comparison: The comparison analyses are copies of the baseline that you can edit to compare different scenarios. You can change the details of the scenarios in the analysis or add and remove additional scenarios for more comparison options.

An assessment’s scope will always include one baseline analysis and can optionally include up to four comparison analyses.
